The con of reading a book then watching its film, is that the audience and the readers (especially the readers) tend to judge on which is better–which is of course the book (okay I’m being biased here). I’m gonna give my thoughts aka release the spazzy feels I got while reading&watching these two books turned into movies:

The Spectacular Now

BOOK // It’s one of those books wherein after you finished it you just kind of doze off and stare at the ceiling and ask yourself “what did I to deserve this emotional pain?”, really. But the book is actually witty and smart and it has deep stuff in there, you better read this!!

MOVIE // Oh good heavens I don’t even know where to start agh! I loved the movie so much and it’s just ahhhh * n * I love Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley istg they’re my otp ugh! Okay I decided to go take a pic of them saying:

Sutter: Aimee, you’re absolutely beautiful.

Aimee: Oh my God, no!

The movie gave me hope, and it’s absolutely beautiful. Yes. Oh and did I already mention I love Miles Teller?

Divergent

BOOK // Everyone is super hyped on this trilogy and I was like what’s in this book?? And while I was reading it I was just like “OMFG NOW I KNOW WHY OMFG” This book is amazing, no words to describe the fun I had while reading! It’s full of plot twists ugh I swear this book is the master of plot twists! I loved Four and Tris’ moments because they’re so cute and they’re such a tease arggh!! I was touched, happy, excited, confused, angry, I was (and am) in love with this book.

MOVIE // Theo James is a walking god how can he be so perfect?? But Miles Teller still makes me giddy that I was kinikilig or hoity-toity (thank you, Google) during Peter and Tris’ fight scene + their interactions on the film!! I watched the movie (alone, yep) yesterday with old people in the theater and they. are. cool. Well back to the movie, uhm the movie was okay. I wouldn’t say it was bad, and I wouldn’t say it was really good. It was just okay. There was something lacking that I can’t point out! But if anyone’s reading this and haven’t watched the movie don’t be discouraged because it was nice okay??? Omg don’t even mind me I’m just a poor teenager with no life so go watch the movie and see for yourself!

——————————————–

I tried to write short but Divergent is still fresh for me so I’m sorry for boring you if ever there’s someone who took the effort to read my emotions. I’m so attached with books and movies i’m crie.

But I (and all those judgmental people who think book-based movies suck and books will always be better) may want to take in mind that books and movies are different forms of art and there will be changes and different interpretations according to the liking of the one in authority, and we should respect that and just enjoy it. Well maybe I might get frustrated sometimes but yeah.

I never enjoy anything. I’m always waiting for whatever’s next. I think everyone’s like that… living life in fast forward, never stopping to enjoy the moment, too busy trying to rush through everything so we can get on with what we’re really supposed to be doing with our lives.

I get these flashes of clarity, brilliant clarity, where, for a second, I stop and I think, “Wait, this is it. This is my life. I’d better slow down and enjoy it, because one day, we’re all going to end up in the ground, and that will be it. We’ll be gone.” - Stuck in Love

Even if you still love each other, even if you still and probably can’t erase the memories you had, even if it hurts. Sometimes, the end is just the beginning. The beginning of life, the beginning of what seems like living without the person you used to spend your whole life with. It may be hard. The memories, the situations, they may never change, but you will. You will change. You will be better. Life goes on.

This movie has moved my heart so much it made me cry Niagara falls alone at the middle of the night huhu. This isn’t any ordinary chick flick movie we always see, it has a touch of reality where most of us can totally relate to. With Celeste and Jesse, even if things went out of the way, something will still remain forever.
